experimental electronic music performance

Three performers wearing cube-shaped decorated helmets on stage, an analogue metronome in front, a bright video projected onto the background.

In the summer of 2017 a bunch of friends and I got together and formed a band. We called ourselves Chimpanzee Bukkaque.

We built our own instruments out of broken toys we got off flea markets, electronics garbage and old TVs we found on the street.

I got into circuit bending, built a MFOS Weird Sound Generator, turned an old game joystick into an Atari Punk Console, and spent a lot of time soldering my own DIY theremin which never worked.

We've made our own costumes out of cardboard and paint, hooked up video cameras to video-bending equipment, synced everything to analog clock and MIDI signals, and gave our performance at Clash of Realities 2017.

We called our performance the Toy Box Orchestra. You can listen to some recordings of it on Bandcamp.
